Tà Xùa – Paradise on earth in Vietnam
Tà Xùa is a highland commune (in Bắc Yên district), located at the border of Trạm Tấu (Yên Bái) and Bắc Yên (Sơn La) districts. It is 240 km from Hanoi and just over 100 km from Mộc Châu town center, making it very convenient to visit both Mộc Châu and Tà Xùa. Located at an altitude of 1,500-1,800 meters above sea level, Tà Xùa enjoys cool weather all year round. The best time to hunt for clouds is from January to March each year. During this period, Tà Xùa is not too cold, and it is also the best time to admire the beauty of the vast cloud valley spreading across the sky.
Dinosaur Backbone in Háng Đồng:
The Dinosaur Backbone is about 5 km from the center of Háng Đồng commune. The terrain here is formed with the back leaning against the primeval Tà Xùa range bordering Yên Bái, and in front is a valley hundreds of meters deep.
Turtle Head Rock in Tà Xùa:
Besides the Dinosaur Backbone, Turtle Head Rock is a popular spot for adventurers on the Tà Xùa range. After conquering an altitude of 2,120 meters, you'll find it fascinating to see a rock jutting out from the mountain range. Due to this unique feature, this place has become a popular photo spot for visitors to Tà Xùa.
Tà Xùa National Primeval Forest:
Covering a total area of 17,650 hectares on the southeastern slope of the Hoàng Liên Sơn range, the Tà Xùa National Primeval Forest has high terrain, significant fragmentation, and many peaks over 2,000 meters along the Phu Sa Phìn range. This area is a closed forest ecosystem, home to many rare plant and animal species, making it ideal for sightseeing and tourism.
Lonely Apple Tree:
The lonely apple tree stands on a windy peak at the Xím Vàng - Háng Đồng intersection. From there, travel about 2.5 km to the left of the Xím Vàng road to reach the location.
In addition to admiring the majestic and mesmerizing scenery, visitors to Tà Xùa can also enjoy unique dishes that are rich in the local culture, such as cháo mắc nhung(mac velvet porridge), smoked buffalo meat, sour salted meat, buffalo skin salad, and bamboo tube grilled rice.
